We were recently approached by MJC Distributors to create their very first website (yes, finally joining the 21st century). Their goal was clear: build something clean, fast, and no-fuss — just like the food retailers they serve, who don’t have time to click through ten tabs to find a pack of frozen peas. On top of that, they wanted the site to reflect their collaborative spirit — because teamwork is their secret sauce.
Our approach
After digging into their competitors’ sites (and surviving the maze of over-complicated navigation menus), we took a less-is-more approach. We stripped things down to the bare essentials — no fluff, no filler — just well-organised, easily digestible information (pun intended).
MJC already had a PDF catalogue, but for better SEO (and sanity), we created a simple, toggle-based catalogue that lets users jump straight to what they need without being bombarded. Because let's face it — the best meals are always the simplest, and the same goes for websites.
To highlight the team-focused culture at MJC, we also included a gallery section where they can share updates and behind-the-scenes team moments — because nothing says "we work well together" like matching aprons and a bake-off.
